Hey y’all! & Welcome to my first blog income report. I’m so excited to share this with you this week.
I’m working to be more consistent with my blog & I could find a better place to hold my self-accountable.
Introduction
November was my 3rd month blogging & I finally earned some money from it. My main source of income was through Pinterest affiliate marketing.
You read that right. My first little bit of income didn’t come directly from my blog. I’ll explain more on that later.
Some background & why I’d share my income.
If this is your first time joining me, Hey girl Hey! I’m Tia. The blogger behind the chaos. I’m so happy you’ve joined me.
I’ve worked in the legal field for the last six years. I’ve always wanted to help people somehow but wasn’t sure exactly how to. So I’ve bounced around to several different firms over the years.
I finally landed at one that I love working at but I’m really burnt out on the legal field. I have a creative mind and needed a way to let the juices flow.
Thus my blog was born.
Why would I share my income you ask? Well, I want to help others achieve their goals while I pave my own way. But I also want to prove to myself that I can do this by starting at $0. Which I did by the way.
I also want you to know that I’m not special. I’m just an average twenty something working hard to make my dreams come true. You can do this too.
What I’ll be Sharing with You

Blog Income Report & Streams:
Drum roll, please! I made $0.12 this month from blogging! I know, I know. Not your typical income report you see floating around.
But I wanted to start sharing early so you can see the whole picture of what it takes to earn a profit from blogging.
It took a lot of hard work to get here. & it will take a lot more hard work to reach my goal of earning $1k per month then eventually become a full-time blogger. But I know it will be worth it which is why I push forward.
Do you want to start a blog of your own?
I’m so happy for you! Blogging is a journey. But it’s a worthwhile journey. I’ve had so much fun these past few months. But it’s not an easy journey.
I have some days where it clicks. Then others where I want to pull my hair out. I’m not saying this to discourage you.
I totally believe that blogging is worth it. I want to be completely clear though so you know what you’re getting into. I love blogging.
If you do want to start a blog, I wrote an entire post dedicated to how to get it set up and you can check that out here. By purchasing hosting through my link, the cost of hosting comes to the super affordable $3.95 per month.

Blog expenses:
- Profit from your Passion ecourse. My new blogging friend Krista runs this course. I got to enter the last class as she will not be offering it any longer. BUT she does have some awesome blogging tips on her blog and she offers two other courses. Check out her blog here and her courses here. You’ll thank me later.
- Pinterest Ninja. I bought this ebook because next month I want to up my Pinterest game. I have definitely found Pinterest easier to use vs some of the other social media platforms. Still, I want to learn all I can about it. I’ve about halfway through the book and will post an update when I’ve completed it.
- Affiliate Sales ebook. The How to Make Your First Affiliate Marketing Sale by Elise of House of Brazen is a great guide to how to make your first sale. It goes over Pinterest Affiliate Marketing what you you need to do to get started.
December 2017 Blogging Goals:
- Reach 350 blog pageviews
- I’d like to grow my social accounts but my focus is going to be on Pinterest. I’d like to get to 275 followers and join at least 10 new group boards (24 total)
- Income: I’d like to earn $25.00 with my blog next month
- I have also fallen in love with writing and am looking to start a freelance writing business. I purchased a course on this and will have a full review when it is completed. I want to have my freelance website completed and have landed 1 client by the new year.
